Retrofit designs underway

MOPA sister company Matter of Fact Retrofit will be soon be providing PAS 2035 compliant retrofit designs thanks to Norfolk County Council Growth through Innovation funding.

PAS 2035 provides a framework for managing domestic retrofit projects, emphasizing a "whole house" approach to ensure energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant well-being, and is crucial for achieving net-zero targets

What is PAS 2035?

A Framework for Retrofit: PAS 2035 is a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) that outlines best practices for energy retrofitting in existing homes. It emphasizes a "whole-house" approach, meaning that retrofit projects should consider all aspects of a building, including its fabric, insulation, ventilation, and heating systems.

PAS 2035 aims to reduce the "performance gap" where energy savings are not delivered in practice, ensuring that retrofit projects deliver the expected benefits.

Key Roles: PAS 2035: 2023 defines key roles involved in retrofit projects, including Retrofit Advisor, Assessor, Coordinator, Designer, Installer, and Evaluator. MOPA can provide Advisor, Assessor, Coordinator and Designer roles through our team and a group of experienced associates.

Compliance with PAS 2035 is essential for organizations accessing government funding and delivering sustainable, high-quality retrofits.
